Final product

Above is an embeded format of my final product, a trailer for a new soap opera 'Westview High'.
I chose Brief 5:

A promotion package for a new soap opera, to include a TV trailer, together with two of the following three options:

  • a listings magazine front cover featuring the new soap

  • two hyperlinked webpages (with video extract) for the soap's website

  • a poster for the soap

I chose the ancillary products of a listings magazine front cover featuring the new soap and a poster for the soap.

Above is the logo animation I made for 'Westview High'. It features in the trailer and was made on Adobe After Effects. As this took so long (over 6 hours) and looks quite professional, I thought I would include it separately as well. To make this I followed a YouTube tutorial on how to complete this affect, this is why it took so long as I am not used to working with After Effects, I also had to do it in quite a tight proximity of time as I was using the Adobe Creative Cloud 7 day trial so couldn't do a bit, and come back to it a week or so later so it felt like I was rushing this but I think has actually turned out quite affective.

Ancillary product 1:

a listings magazine front cover featuring the new soap

Ancillary product 2:

a poster for the soap

Above is one of my ancillary products, a TV listings magazine cover, I chose TV Choice to represent my new soap opera as it is a well known brand that often features soaps as their biggest image on the page and therefore being the first thing the consumers see when buying the magazine. When editing this, 'Broadchurch' in the pink text was the size of the yellow box surrounding it, unfortunately when saving this as an image it is automatically reduced it size, I've tried saving the document as different formats being JPGs, JPEGs, PNGs etc. Nothing seems to work so I am unsure how to rectify this but it isn't too noticeable.
Above is the other of my ancillary products, a poster for the soap. I made this using Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Graphic and Microsoft Publisher. I asked my actress of Melody Blake (the character to the left in the foreground) to look slightly innocent but like she could have a dark side, and I asked my actor of Nathan Mathewsonn (the character to the right in the background) to have the expression of more evil but quite pleased with himself - these fit with the roles they play in the Westview High storyline that features in the trailer.
